Ως VP Merchandising στην TJX Europe για 9 έτη, η Shahnila ήταν μέλος του leadership team που οδήγησε στην ευρωπαϊκή επέκταση της TKMaxx, μετατρέποντας την επιχείρηση από έναν λιανοπωλητή με έδρα το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο σε μια πανευρωπαϊκή, πολυκαναλική οργάνωση με 40 νέα καταστήματα ετησίως.

Using Industry best practice techniques, you will learn which pricing & promotional strategies are most suitable during the different stages of the Product Life Cycle.

Furthermore, you will learn which discounting methods are the most effective when optimising sales promotions and how best to execute them.

Shahnila is a highly accomplished senior Commercial leader with over 25 years retail experience. Previous roles include Commercial Director at department store retailer House of Fraser and VP of Merchandising for TKMaxx and HomeSense. During her time at House of Fraser, she was responsible for leading increased operational efficiencies and reducing store-handling costs, rolling out a Pricing & Promotional/Markdown Optimisation Tool to deliver substantial margin benefit.

As VP of Merchandising at TJX Europe for 9 years, Shahnila was part of the senior leadership team that led the European expansion of TKMaxx, transforming the business from a UK store based retailer into a pan-European, multi-channel organisation, opening 30 – 40 new stores per annum.

Shahnila has a proven track record of delivering revenues, profit and market growth objectives across the full range of retail challenges, including International expansion, Multichannel transformation, Start-ups, E-Commerce pure-plays and Turnarounds. Shahnila is an expert in a diverse range of sectors within retail, including the offprice/Surplus stock sector, department stores and fast fashion private label high street chains, with extensive experience of leading Business Strategy, developing infrastructure capability and organisational design.
